YOUNG ARTISTS EXHIBIT
The West Bank Art Guild will sponsor a Young Artists Exhibit April 25 through May 3 at the Westwego Art Center, 401 Sala Ave., Westwego.
The exhibit is open to children ages 3 to 18. One entry per artist is allowed. The artist's name, address, telephone number and age must be on the back of the work. An adult must be responsible for signing in and picking up artwork. Artwork must be a painting or drawing in any medium, which is the original work of the artist. The artwork must be framed and have proper screw eyes and picture wire across the back for hanging. No plastic frames are accepted. Work not properly framed and ready to hang will be refused. Maximum size of the work is 24 by 36 inches, including the frame.
Artwork must be brought to the Westwego Art Center on April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ribbons will be awarded in six age-group categories on May 3 at 2 p.m. at the Westwego Center, with a reception following for all artists, friends and family. Participants may pick up artwork after the reception until 4:30 that day; the guild and art center are not responsible for any artwork left after that time or date.
