Where in the World is WHO:
This wonderful project was created by Shelly
Centanni and is scheduled for Tuesday, Septempber 6 at 7 pm, Westwego City Hall 419 Avenue
A, Westwego. Each family will pick a country
that they want to study. Then, let your imaginations
fly. We are asking that each family have a
backboard (the tri-fold kind that can be bought at Walmart or an office supply store) that displays
information about your country. You may also
want to make a model to accompany your
backboard. You can prepare food to share and
dress-up as well. This project is meant to include
the entire family. So, make sure everyone has a
part in the learning! On display night, each family
will be able to give a short presentation. So,
prepare whom ever will be speaking (more than
one can present). This is a great opportunity to
introduce or reinforce research skills, oral
speaking, writing, history, art, reading and most
importantly, family time. There are so many
directions you can go with this project -just make
sure it is FUN!
